Jon Holcomb (American Mechanical Partners) was the mechanical contractor of choice for Hunt Regional Medical Center during my tenure as the Director of Facilities.
I had no prior relationship with Jon, who was recommended by an maintenance technician working for the medical center. Jon's dedication to the center's Central Utility Plant operations resulted in a $630,000-dollar (annualized) utility savings in the first year of utilizing his company's talent. AMP's technician knowledge and loyalty to the service they provided allowed The Medical Center to completely focus on providing Hunt County top notch patient care without interruptions 24/7. While we had major construction projects running concurrent, AMP's services as a Mechanical contractor was invaluable, and I was extremely pleased with all of the final results. American Mechanical Partners (AMP) receive top marks in the following areas: Quality of work performed
The quality of work done was consistently correct and completed on time. AMP technicians were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications and maintaining all infection prevention requirements during the course of their work. Jon's staff are professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the hospital's property and patient privacy when the scope of work was close to patient care... AMP's old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), and strong safety awareness focused on getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident, and all areas were cleaned up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy.
Project Management
The company's experience working in a healing environment really paid off. Their knowledge of possible impacts to patient care allowed our project plans to be 100 percent compliant with all accreditation standards the organization is required to follow during any type of construction projects. AMP's coordination and management of all activities differentiated them from the other contractors the organization once utilized for their HVACR projects. Jon's excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details, and timelines involved with a fully functioning Hospital. Jon's familiarity with building codes, and mechanical code also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to State permits and inspections.

Senior Director Facilities
Jon and his company have provided HVAC service for us here at Ennis Regional Medical Center since early 2011. Their work has always been very professional and it has always been exceptional with the ability to troubleshoot what the problems were even when the factory rep. could not find the problem.
When we were using our McQuay HVAC units and having to use factory service we were spending an extremely large amount for each compressor change out. Due to the factory configuration of how the units were set to run, we were going through a lot of compressors. Once Jon and his crew got here and looked at what was going on they made recommendations to alleviate the issue. Not only did they solve the problem but on every compressor, they changed out for us it was at about half of the price the factory was charging.
For on-call and emergency calls they were always ready and responded no matter what time of day it was. Always finding the problem and making recommendations which always improved our situation. We were always very pleased with their service and we still use them today on special projects.
